Moon Sweepers J.O.O.N.A.S Stops Working: Version Checks

Separate old distance-related J.O.O.N.A.S behavior from navigation, full-bin and capsule issues using the Moon Sweepers 1.0.4 changes.

10/27/2026 1.0.4 Last updated: 10/27/2026 2 min read

Match the symptom before changing the base

What you see What 1.0.4 changes Useful observation
Stops only when you leave Continued work without nearby players Version; whether it resumes on return
Circling near buildings Revised routing; inaccessible hexes skipped Obstacles and displayed sector
Bin gauge flashes red Revised full-bin indicator Information panel and capsule activity
“Could not pack a capsule” despite supplies A specific machine stall is listed as fixed Message, machine type, power/material display

The last row is a machine error. Not every capsule warning has the same cause as a robot’s distance-related stall.

Read its current task

Version 1.0.4 adds robot activity on the map, per-type visibility toggles, a sector readout and an information panel when looking at J.O.O.N.A.S. Distinguish no cleaning, no delivery and working in an unexpected sector.

The announced work cycle also changes: finish a hex from the outside inward, then launch capsules toward the nearest catcher while continuing onward. Older advice assuming a mandatory dock trip can describe obsolete behavior.

A short diagnostic sequence

  1. Confirm the installed version before using a launch-week workaround.
  2. Observe one robot’s map activity, sector and bin indicator before rebuilding a line.
  3. In co-op, compare host/client observations; check shared systems.
  4. Preserve a world backup before experiments that change buildings or files.
  5. Report persistent symptoms with the version and observations. A published fix does not prove your particular world is healthy.

For map controls, see night vision and navigation.
